Resonance is looking to hire an associate based in Paris. This is a unique opportunity to join a very ambitious VC investment team working at the heart of the European tech ecosystem, investing and supporting the best entrepreneurs leveraging technology to change the world.

What You'll Do:

As a Venture Capital Associate, you'll be an integral part of our investment team involved in every aspect of the job:

• Startup Sourcing: Identify rising entrepreneurs and what they are working on before anyone. Build strong relationships within the European investment ecosystem (business angels, VCs, incubators, operators, universities). Become a sought-after investor for entrepreneurs raising funds.
• In-depth startup Analysis: Run thorough due diligences on technology, sales, competition and market. Leverage your network to speak with experts. Write our investment memorandums. Perform comprehensive market analysis to spot trends and opportunities that align with our investment philosophy.
• Portfolio Support: Support the founders of our portfolio companies with hiring top talents, advising on their product and go-to-market strategy and preparing them for the next fundraising rounds.
• Build the Resonance brand: Organize events and build communities around specific themes. Develop thought leadership and through publishing blog posts.
• Strategy: Participate in ad-hoc strategic projects.

Who We're Looking For:

• Competencies:

  • Have a strong network in tech.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Easily create connection with people and entrepreneurs.
  • Able to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality work with limited direction.
  • Team player.
• Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in tech startups, consulting, or investment banking.
  • You are active in the tech ecosystem: writing blog posts, giving talks, leading meetups, participating in industry events, advising and mentoring entrepreneurs, seeking investment opportunities.
  • You are a good fit if you have an edge in a specific area, an industry that you know in and out.
• Education: We’re looking for candidates with top-tier business, engineering or scientific educational backgrounds.
